Australian boat manufacturer Powercat Marine is once again elated with its haul of awards after the AMIF Boat of the Year winners were announced during this years Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show

Powercat walked away with the top awards in the ‘Non-trailerable Cruiser over 10m' section for its 3100 Sports Cruiser, while the newly released 2500 Sports Fisherman won the ‘Trailerable Fishing Boat under 10m' award.

Steve Shaw, the owner and driving force behind Powercat Marine, collected the awards on behalf of his wife Lynda, son Brendon and two tables full of happy Powercat staff. The awards will now be added to Powercat Marine's awards library.

Shaw spoke on the importance of keeping the Australian boat building industry alive and not letting the marketplace be flooded with imports. A sentiment that was echoed by several other award winners, said Powercat Marine.
