Born of watersports genealogy, these powerful V-drive models are on par with the demands of pro athletes, yet perfect for the family, said the boatbuilder.
Simple and relaxing to drive, ultra quiet with low-maintenance costs and superb handling characteristics make these Australian-made beauties very appealing to the sports or dayboat buyer, said Malibu. But, riding backwards in the passenger seat can also be rather unappealing.
The company said rear-facing seats are typical in tow sportsboats, so passengers get to face the waterskiing or wakeboarding action. But what about the trip back to the ramp or a relaxing cruise with friends? Who wants to see where you've been when you can see where you're going? Malibu said this year it is offering a new optional interior seating configuration to accommodate you on just that occasion.
The new "Sports Seating" option provides the front passenger with a swivelling captain's chair so they can choose for themselves which way offers the best view, said Malibu, and, like the drivers seat, it comes complete with a lumbar support, flip-up bolster and even an optional seat heater.
The ergonomically positioned footwell, greater seating support and uncompromised observer storage area also add to comfort, said the company.
Combined with the standard removable refreshment table and built-in esky with insulated cooler bag, the hardcore skiboat has just become an afternoon or twilight cruiser, said Malibu.
The new sport seating is sure to be a popular option with the "not-so-die-hard" skiers and wakeboarders, said Malibu, and even the boatbuilder's legendary Wakesetter range offers this clever and versatile option.
