Due to customer interest, Mercury Marine said it has created a special web page which allows outboard owners to verify their service history and ensure they are maintaining their 3+2 Years Warranty conditions

The 3+2 Years Warranty offer on new Mercury and Mariner outboards has proved to be incredibly popular, said Mercury Marine. It said customers were calling its dealers to verify that their specified engine services were being properly recorded, so Mercury decided to provide web access to its central Service Log.

"We wanted to make sure customers could have peace of mind, letting them see for themselves that their services were properly logged and recorded," said Guy Williamson, Mercury's director-service and quality.

Mercury Marine said customers simply have to visit www. mercurymarine.com.au and follow the links to the Service or Warranty sections and use the link "Click here to check your 3+2 Warranty Status".

Customers then enter their unique eight-character Engine Serial Number to view their complete service history.

Mercury Marine said that if customers find that any of their service information is not correct, they should contact their dealer immediately.

Under its 3+2 Years Warranty, Mercury Marine said it is offering its customers a two-year bonus warranty on top of its existing three-year warranty - to provide a total of five years protection on its full range of consumer outboard products: two-stroke; four-stroke; OptiMax; and, Verado.
