Australian boat builder Maritimo has shown its largest ever display at the annual Cannes International Boat Show which kicked off on the French riviera on the weekend.

The company displayed three boats in three separate categories -- an M48 Cruising Motoryacht, a 550 Offshore Convertable sportsfisher and a new C50 Sports Cabriolet (pictured).

Maritimo is represented by three dealers at the show, French Boat Market representing France, Elite Marine from Italy and Pelicano Yachts from Spain. The three dealers will work closely with Maritimo's newly appointed European manager Steve Boerema.

"We are excited to be expanding our marketing program in Europe," Maritimo marketing director Luke Durman says, "Our dealers are looking forward to the hands-on support that Steve Boerema will be able to provide."

Meanwhile, at home, Maritimo has appointed marine industry veteran Garry Dunn as the company's warranty manager. Dunn has worked in the marine industry for many years, most recently with Caterpillar dealer Energy Power Systems. For the past decade he worked as the company's regional manager for the Queensland, Papua-New Guinea and the Solomon Islands.

"My role with Energy Power Systems led me to work closely with the team at Maritimo, so when the opportunity came to take this role, I jumped at it."
