SPY Boats chalks up three years

The locally designed and manufactured ski and wake board SPY boat, which has achieved a great following across the country, celebrates its third birthday this year with the appointment of new dealers in NSW and in Queensland.

The totally CAD designed SPY boat was awarded the AMIF Ski Boat of the Year in its first year of production and it continues to be entirely Australian built, for Australian conditions.

SPY Boats, which are manufactured by Performance Marine and Whittley Marine, have announced two new state dealers -- Blakes Marine in NSW and Broadwater Boating Centre in Queensland. They join the dealer network that covers Western Australia, Victoria and Tasmania.

SPY Boats' Peter Webb says he is very excited about the brand's future and is confident his dealers have the necessary experience in the wake and ski boat scene to deliver excellent service to their customers.

There is now only one piece missing in SPY Boats' network -- South Australia. Webb says he is now looking for a dealer in SA who is equal in standing to all his other dealers and who has a love of the wake and water ski industry.

Webb says SPY Boats now has two new boats at the research and design stage and is looking at the possibility of some limited edition production runs. Despite the difficult economic conditions of the past 12 months, Webb says SPY Boats is totally committed to the Australian market and the company is extremely proud of its development work and manufacturing.

SPY Boats now produces four models, the award winning RX22, the RS22, TS21 and the XS21. New models are expected to be launched at the Melbourne Boat Show later this year.
